About this collection
A rotate your phone animation asks mobile viewers to turn their screen sideways before a landscape video starts. These are gold and white iPhone style outlines that tilt between curved arrows, count down from three, or land on a check mark, and most of the After Effects versions let you switch the phone style and the language. Use them as After Effects, Premiere Pro, or DaVinci Resolve projects, or drop the transparent overlay on your timeline in any editor.
How to add a rotate your phone animation
- Pick the message. Choose a plain Rotate Your Phone, a polite Please Rotate Your Phone, a countdown, or a check mark that says the video is horizontal.
- Download the file you will edit. Open a project file to change the wording or the color. Take the drag and drop overlay if you only need to place it.
- Put it at the very start. Place it above your landscape footage on the first two or three seconds, before your hook, so viewers turn the phone before the video begins.
- Add a whoosh on the turn. A short whoosh as the phone rotates makes the prompt hard to miss.
