MOTIONVAULT licenses templates in two ways. A subscription gives you a commercial license to use library templates while your subscription is active. A one-time pack purchase gives you a permanent commercial license to use that pack (see Section 1.3). These License Terms form part of the MOTIONVAULT Terms of Service between you and MOTIONVAULT. If there is a conflict about template usage rights, these License Terms control.
With an active subscription, you can download templates and use them to create videos, animations, or projects for personal, business, or client work. An active subscription includes the paid-through period after cancellation until the end of the then-current billing cycle.
You can make videos for clients using templates. The final videos are covered by your subscription or pack purchase, but if a client wants to edit the template files themselves, they must buy their own MOTIONVAULT subscription, or their own copy of the pack for pack templates.
Some templates are sold as packs (marked "Pack") for a one-time payment and are not included in any subscription. When you buy a pack, you get a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable commercial license to use that pack in personal, business, and client work, in as many end products as you like. No subscription is needed, the license does not expire, and it is not affected by starting, changing, or canceling a subscription. The license belongs to the account that bought the pack, and you can download the pack again from that account while it is in good standing. Everything else in these License Terms applies to packs, except the parts that depend on an active subscription.
Templates can be used in a variety of commercial projects, including:
Social media posts, ads, client videos, online courses, or monetized videos (e.g., YouTube, Facebook, Vimeo).
TV shows, movies, documentaries, live events, or company presentations.
Use templates anywhere in the world, no credit to MOTIONVAULT needed.
End-product videos made during your active subscription can be used forever, even if your subscription later ends, subject to Section 8 (including the breach rules). End products made with a purchased pack can also be used forever.
You are allowed to:
Use templates to make videos, presentations, commercials, etc., as long as they are part of the final work.
Deliver final videos to clients. However, if the client needs access to the original or modified template files, they must purchase their own MOTIONVAULT subscription, or their own copy of the pack for pack templates.
Modify templates (e.g., text, colors, animations) and use them in your projects.
You retain perpetual rights to the end products created during your active subscription, meaning you can use them indefinitely. However, once your subscription ends, you will not be able to use previously downloaded subscription templates for new projects. Packs you bought are different: you can keep using them in new projects with no time limit.
You don’t need to register projects or clients with us.
The following actions are not allowed:
You cannot sell or share templates in any form, whether original or modified.
Templates cannot be added to asset packs for resale.
You cannot share templates (original or modified) with clients or third parties. If clients need access, they must have their own active MOTIONVAULT subscription, or their own copy of the pack for pack templates.
Templates cannot be shared for public download or reuse.
Do not use templates in offensive or illegal content.
Some templates may include third-party assets (e.g., fonts, music, images). These assets are licensed separately:
Links to these assets are in the user guide. You must check their licenses yourself.
These assets are not covered by your subscription or pack purchase and may need separate licensing.
MOTIONVAULT is not responsible for changes or removal of third-party assets over time.
Templates remain the property of MOTIONVAULT. Your license gives you the right to use them but does not transfer ownership.
You can edit templates for your needs, but modified templates are still subject to these terms and cannot be resold.
Attribution is optional but appreciated. If possible, credit MOTIONVAULT in your video descriptions.
End-product videos created during an active subscription remain licensed for continued use after the subscription ends, as described in Sections 2.4 and 3.
To use templates for new projects or download more templates, you must renew or maintain an active subscription.
When a subscription expires or is canceled and the paid-through period ends, you must stop using template source files for new projects. Completed end products created earlier remain licensed.
A pack license does not depend on a subscription, so a subscription expiring or being canceled does not affect it. It ends only if the pack is refunded or your account is terminated for material breach under the rule below.
If your subscription or account is terminated for material breach of these License Terms or the Terms of Service, your right to use template source files ends immediately and you must delete those source files and cease using them for new projects. Unless we notify you otherwise because of serious infringement or unlawful use, end-product videos that were lawfully created and distributed during an active subscription, or with a purchased pack, before the breach may continue to be used. MOTIONVAULT reserves all rights and remedies for breach.
We may update these terms. Updated terms will apply to new subscriptions, to renewals that begin after the update is posted, and to packs bought after the update is posted, unless applicable law or an express notice requires a different approach. A pack you already bought stays under the terms in force when you bought it. Updates will be posted on our website with a revised effective date.
Yes, you can use templates in monetized videos on YouTube, Facebook, Vimeo, or other platforms, as long as you have an active subscription when you create the end product (and subject to these License Terms).
